The Facilities Management Department employs a large force of dedicated and skilled employees trained in every principal trade required for the maintenance, repair and minor alteration of virtually all campus facilities. FMD employees are ready to respond to urgent or specialized needs, and provide valuable service for basic maintenance and repair programs. They are also ready and able to provide timely and flexible renovation services of moderate scope. Generally, the use of FMD employees has proven to be more economical than contractual services, although the scope, time requirements, or specialized nature of some projects may warrant contracted labor. The Facilities Management Department will work with each customer to determine the best way to complete a project.
